High Court of the Maldives has ordered to transfer former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb to house arrest.
The court issued this order after Adheeb’s lawyers filed to get a temporary order from the court to get him transferred to house arrest.
His lawyers first filed the case at the Civil Court but the Civil Court refused to accept the case. The High Court issued the order based on the statements given by Adheeb at the court.

Speaking at the hearing, his lawyer said that there is chance that his life might be in danger as a result of his ill health. The lawyer request to allow Adheeb to go abroad for further treatment.
