Aminath Nadira a senior member of former President Maumoon’s Maumoon Reform Movement (MRM) has announced that she is going to run for Galolhu Dhekunu constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
She made the announcement today on twitter. Nadiraa is a close associate of former President Maumoon and she was arrested during President Yameen’s administration.
Nadira was also offered a cabinet position in the current administration but she refused to accept the position. She was an executive coordinator at the Gender Ministry during President Yameen’s administration. However she was later dismissed from the position.
Former President Maumoon’s movement has interviewed 108 people to award tickets to contest in the parliament on behalf of MRM.
