Statistics published by the Finance Ministry show that the state has collected 1.5 billion Rufiyaa as revenue in the month of January.
The records show that till 1st February the state collected 1.13 billion Rufiyaa as tax revenue and 4.3 million Rufiyaa as other revenue.
The expenditure for January is very low compared to the revenue. The government spent 767.7 million Rufiyaa as the salary of government staffs and 331 million Rufiyaa was spent on administrative and operational expenditures.
The forecasts show that the state will collect 23 billion Rufiyaa as revenue by the end of this year. The government passed a budget of 30 billion Rufiyaa for this year.
