Candidates backed by the former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom will contest for 24 constituencies in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Speaking at a press conference held by Maumoon Reform Movement at Endherimaage, Thazmeel Samadh the spokesperson of their campaign team stated that candidates backed by the former president will contest in 24 constituencies.
He said that the campaign will begin officially soon begin and the official moto of the campaign is “Article 4”.
Thazmeel said that the Article 4 of the constitution defines the people’s power and hence they have decided to use that as the official motto of the campaign.
