President of B.Kamadhoo council, Ahmed Sameer has been arrested.
According to sources he was arrested after he refused to appear before the court after various summons from the court.
The court issued an order to the police, asking to summon him to the court under the supervision of the police.
He was arrested twice in the past on drug related cases.
Sameer was arrested with a large amount of drugs last year, however he was later released.
