Ruling party MDP has announced that the party intends to hold a mass rally on 19th of February in Male’.
MDP’s campaign spokesperson, Afshan Latheef said that the event will begin in front of MDP’s campaign center and will take place on Majeedhee Magu.
She said that it is important for MDP to hold the majority of the parliament for the government to implement the manifesto.
Although President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih won the election through a coalition, upon winning the election MDP has sidelined coalition partners and decided to contest in the parliamentary election alone.
