Japanese government provides grant to construct 2 classrooms Rathafandhoo School

The government of Japan has provided a grant to construct 2 classrooms of Rathafandhoo School. 

The Japanese government provided 81,757 US dollars for the project. The aid was given under the Grant Assistance for Human Security Project scheme. 

In a ceremony held at the Education Ministry the grant agreement was signed between the government of Japan and Rathafandhoo School. Mohammed Abdullah the principle of Rathafandhoo School signed the agreement on behalf of the school while Japanese Ambassador Keiko Yanai signed on behalf of the government of Japan. 

The project will be implemented by the school and is foreseen to be completed by the end of this year. 

The government of Japan has been assisting the Maldives for the past 50 years in various fields.
