Singapore’s Court of Appeal has maintained the verdict of Singapore’s Arbitration Court Suntravel versus Hilton case. The arbitration court ordered Suntravel to pay 26 million dollars to Hilton International.
Suntravel annulled an agreement made with Hilton International to manage N.Irufushi resort before the end of the period specified in the contract. Singapore’s Arbitration Court ordered Suntravel to pay 26 million dollars to Hilton as compensation.
When Suntravel appealed the case at the High Court, the High Court also supported the verdict of the court of arbitration.
Suntravel annulled the contract 2013.
