Manta Air, the newest domestic airline in the Maldives has begun its operations today.
The airline received its license last week and currently operated scheduled flights between Velana International Airport and Dh.Kudahuvadhoo Airport.
At the moment, the airline is operating four flights per day. Its fleet consists of two ATR 72-600 64-seat aircrafts.
Chief Executive Officer of Manta Air, Mohammed Khaleel said that the airline’s operations to Dhaalu Atoll is just the beginning and that they will be adding new destinations soon.
Manta Air offers multiple fare categories including low-cost fares, which is a first in the Maldives.
