MP Abdullah Ahmed has withdrawn the no confidence motion submitted against Aishath Bisham the prosecutor general of Maldives.
In November 2018 Abdullah submitted the no confidence motion and withdrew it. However he submitted it again.
His motion was not included in the agenda of the parliament last time. However it is not clear why he withdrew the case.
Meanwhile, PPM and PNC also stated that they will summon the PG to the parliament committee on independent institutions over the detention of former President Yameen.
Former President Yameen was charged with money laundering and the PG asked the court to detain the president till the end of the trial.
