Maldives Monetary Authority has issued license to SME Development Finance Corporation Private Limited.
MMA issued the license to the bank on 28th February.
The SME Development Bank is a government owned company. City councils of Male’, Addu and Fuvahmulah has a 5% stake in the company.
According to MMA, this bank will facilitate to provide loans to small and medium enterprises and it will develop the economy.
