Public Service Media (PSM) has decided to grant 6-months paid maternity leave to all the staffs of the company. In addition, the company has decided to grant 1-month paternity leave to fathers of new born babies.
President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih decided to grant 6-months paid maternity leave to civil servants starting from 7th of March.
Since then, many state-owned companies have decided to grant 6 months paid maternity leave. In addition, one private company has also decided to grant 6 months paid leave.
