Pakistan has donated 444 books to Islamic centers in the Maldives.
The books were handed over during a ceremony held at the Islamic Ministry today. Speaking at the ceremony, Islamic Minister Dr.Ahmed Ali Zahir said that the books will be kept in the library of Islamic Centers in Male’, Thinadhoo and Ungoofaaru. He said that these books will benefit students and researchers.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Pakistani ambassador to the Maldives said that Pakistan is happy that Maldives is an Islamic nation that strives to retain the Islamic identity of Maldives. He said that as a regional super power, Pakistan will always assist Maldives in anything.
The books donated today covers over 88 different topics.
