Elections Commission of the Maldives has requested to submit the financial statements of all the candidates who contested in the last parliamentary elections.
Commission’s president, Ahmed Shareef stated that all the candidates including those who lost the election should submit their financial statements to the commission.
He said that it is the responsibility of the candidates, and the agents of the candidates to submit it during the period prescribed in the legislation.
