Department of Judicial Administration has issued license to 84 new lawyers to practice law in the Maldives.
A special ceremony was held at the Supreme Court of the Maldives where the lawyers took the oath. Speaking at the ceremony, the judicial administrator Dr.Abdullah Nazeer said that every year 250 lawyers are issued the license and this sector is developing fast.
Dr.Nazeer said that they have begun the works to reform the judiciary and they will soon announce a road map for that. He requested the lawyers to take part in the reform work.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Justice of the Maldives and other justices of the Supreme Court.
