Government has lifted suspension of Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof and Akram Kamaaludheen the state minister for Ministry of Planning.
President’s Spokesperson Ibrahim Hoodh said that their suspension was lifted today and they have resumed their duties starting from today.
“There will be a meeting of the cabinet soon and Mahloof will take part in it” said Hoodh.
They were suspended after the Anti-Corruption Commission’s report on MMPRC embezzlement case showed that both of them received money from SOF a company which laundered MMPRC’s money.
However Mahloof said that the money he received from SOF was a legal transaction. Even ACC later claimed that there was no corruption involved in the case.
