A drug rehabilitation center has been opened in Gdh.Thinadhoo today.
The center was opened by Gender Minister Shidhatha Shareef. Opening a rehabilitation center was among the 100 day pledges of the government. The center has the capacity to provide detoxification service for 12 people at the same time. In addition, the center can provide community based treatment to 36 people.
Services available at the center includes, detoxification service, community based rehabilitation, psychosocial support and teaching skills required for reintegration into the community.
