Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail has called to amend the law on contempt of court.
Fayyaz tweeted saying that while the public can criticize the president and the parliament members, the public should be able to criticize the judges as well.
Like he said, even the president can be criticized, and all other politicians can be criticized as well. However, if a judge is criticized, under the contempt of court act, people can be punished. Many countries have similar laws when it come to judges.
