Supreme Court of the Maldives has upheld the High Court’s order to temporarily transfer former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb to house arrest.
He was transferred to house arrest on 27th March. The High Court made this order in relation to the case filed to the Civil Court by Ahmed Adheeb requesting to go abroad for medical treatment.
Adheeb has been convicted of various crimes and has to serve a total of 33 years in prison.
