The first secretary at the Chinese Embassy in Maldives Shashavi has stated that the fifth power project will bring a permanent solution to the power outage problems in Male’ area.
Speaking about the projects conducted by Chinese companies in Maldives, Shashavi said that the Chinese government has agreed to develop a new desalination plant in Male’ and 5 micro desalination plants in other islands.
The first secretary stated that the agreements to conduct these projects will be signed very soon.
The desalination plants will be developed in K.Kashidhoo, Lh.Kurendhoo, R.Alifushi, Ha.Kela and Ga.Dhandhoo. The first plants will be installed in Kaashidhoo and Kurendhoo.
The plants will be able to provide clean water to a population of 2500 people.
