Statistics published by the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) shows that the state earned 1.31 billion as tax revenue last month.
This is 6.3 percent more than the forecasted revenue for the month. In addition that is a 12% increase compared to the same period in 2018.
The largest percent of the revenue was from goods and services tax. GST includes MVR 875 million Rufiyaa.
