A program to donate books to prisons has begun in the hall of Aminiyya School.
The program was launched by Home Minister Imran Abdullah. Speaking at the launching ceremony, the minister said that those imprisoned must have access to education and it should be seen as a chance to gain more knowledge.
In addition the minister said that to improve the jails its important to change the way people think and for that the cooperation of the society is needed.
He said that if the cooperation from the society is received then the libraries of the jails will be rich and it will be reflected from the behaviors of inmates.
The program was initiated by Home Minister Imran and the main purpose of the program is to educate and rehabilitate inmates according to commissioner of prisons Abdullah Munaz.
