A Bangladeshi man has been arrested for forcing his wife into prostitution.
According to Maldives Police Service, they arrested three Bangladeshi men regarding the matter.
The woman’s husband was forcing her into prostitution had he was found while he was at the airport trying to leave the country.
In addition, the Police stated that the man abused his wife and signs of injury was found on her body. He also confiscated the woman’s passport and the woman has been changed to a secure environment now.
Maldives Police Service searched a house in Mahchangoalhi regarding the matter.
