ALIA Group has begun the company’s 5th blood donation camp.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the camp, the MD of the company Ahmed Saeed said that this year the company will mark its 55th anniversary and hence the events of this year will be different.
Saeed said that there are people who are afraid of donating blood even though they are 40 years old. He said that that fear will only be gone if they donate blood even once. He said that there are various challenges because there is no proper database of those who donate blood. He said that hence, all blood collection centers should be able to collect information about the donors.
Speaking about the reason why the group is conducting the camp, he stated that its very easy to donate money or clean some place. He said that even though there might be doubts to whether the money is donated to the most deserving person, when it comes to blood there is no question about that.
