Maldives Ports Limited has stated that there are delays is introducing bus services to new routes in Male’ is due to the condition of the streets in Male’.
MPL is in charge of Male’-Hulhumale’ bus service. In April this year, MPL announced that they plan to introduce bus service to new routes in Male’.
Speaking about the matter, Assistant General Manager of MPL Mohammed Mahjoob said that the new bus stops will be made near the bridge viewing platform and near Nasandhura Hotel. He said that however since Nasandhura street is a two way street if a bus stop is created there, the traffic will be congested.
Mahjoob stated that they are talking with relevant authorities to find a solution to these problems.
