Home Minister Imran Abdullah has stated that he ordered to investigate the riots in Maafushi jail.
He said that he ordered the inspector general of prisons to investigate the matter and that it is being investigated now.
Speaking to the press after visiting the jail the minister said that the situation is under control now and that he has suspended the commander of ESG until the investigation is complete.
