Abdullah Lutfy the mastermind of 3rd November 1988 terror attacks have been arrested.
According to Maldives Police Service, Abdullah Lutfy came to the Maldivian Embassy in Colombo on 1st May and since then he has been under the custody of Maldives Police Service.
A statement by the police states that they are not completing the administrative procedure required to bring him back to Maldives.
Abdullah Lutfy was serving a lifetime jail sentence while he was granted permission to go abroad for medical treatment in 2010. However, he went never returned to Maldives and has been hiding since then.
