MP Mohammed Saeed of Maavashu constituency has stated that Abdullah Lutfy the master mind of the 3rd November 1988 terrorist attack against the Maldives, is being kept in a VIP room in the embassy of Maldives in Sri Lanka after he surrendered to the embassy.
Saeed said this while speaking at the parliament today. Opposition PNC submitted a motion today to the parliament stating that the government is delaying bringing back Lutfy on purpose.
MP Saeed said that for two months Lutfy was kept in a VIP room and he should be brought back, and he should be put in jail.
Lutfy was sent abroad in 2010 for medical treatment and he fled and has been on the run for almost a decade.
