Indian cabinet has approved the Maldives-Kochin ferry memorandum of understanding.
Last month Maldives and India signed an agreement to begin ferry services between Kochin and Kulhudhuhfushi. The agreement was signed during PM Modi’s visit to the Maldives. Many other agreements were signed during the visit.
The opposition parties of the Maldives has expressed concern regarding the Maldives-India ferry agreement.
