Former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb has returned to Maldives after his trip to India for treatment.
He returned to Maldives earlier today with his wife Nashwa. Adheeb went to India to treat glaucoma.
Adheeb tweeted earlier today saying that he was born in the Maldives and that it is his responsibility to serve the nation. In addition he said that no one is perfect.
Adheeb was conditioned to return to Maldives on 26th June, however Maldives correctional service extended the deadline. In addition Adheeb’s doctors advised him to return to India after 6 months for further consultation.
Previously Adheeb was sentenced to 33 years in prison, but the court has nullified all the verdicts.
