Housing Minister Athifa has stated that the government is planning to lend low interest housing loans.
The minister made this statement while answering to a question from a parliament member after she was summoned to the parliament for questioning.
She said that it is a pledge of this government to lend loans at 5 and 6 percent interest rates and they hope to begin this program before the end of August.
She said that in the past 6 months they have discussed with various stakeholders and drafted the necessary regulations.
