An 11 year old girl has died from dengue fever last night.
The girl died while she was undergoing treatment at IGMH hospital. According to sources, the girl is also a sickle cell anemia patient.
Even last month two thalassemia patients died in the Maldives. In addition, a Maldivian boy died in India after a bone marrow transplant.
Chikungunya and dengue fever is on the rise in Maldives these days.
