After India decided to abolish the special privileges given to Indian administered Kashmir, Pakistan vowed to raise the issue in all international meetings they take participate.

In the ongoing South Asian Speakers Conference in the Maldives, the Pakistani delegation has raised the issue for the first time in an international meeting.

Speaking at the parliament, the VP of Pakistani National Assembly Mohammed Gasim Khan Soory said that the Muslims in Kashmir are victims and that they are being victimized day by day.

He further said that if they were to talk about maintaining peace, they cannot pretend not to see the condition of the Muslims in Palestine, Rohingiya and Kashmir. He said that the issue should be raised.

Indian delegation tried to raise point of order and obstruct the Pakistani delegation during the session. However Pakistani delegation continued.

At that time, the speaker of the parliament Mohammed Nasheed, addressed the Pakistani delegation and said that the session should be conducted in order and then the Pakistani delegate replied saying he can hear him and that he is also talking in order.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on that Saturday that they will raise the issue of Kashmir in all international conferences they take part in.
