How did a commission which doesn’t have investigative experience finish an investigative report if they didn’t get cooperation from police ? : Qasim
JP’ leader Qasim Ibrahim has asked how a commission (Dead and Disappearances Commission) which does not have the capacity and training to conduct investigations finished the investigative report on the disappearance of Rilwan if they did not get cooperation from the police.
Speaking at the parliament while debating on the amendments proposed by the government to the ACC’s legislation, Qasim said that the commission was able to compile a report on Rilwan’s disappearance in a short period because they got help from the police. He said that hence the speaker of the parliament should not talk about the police service in such a way that it would tarnish their name.
Qasim made that statement as the speaker of the parliament claimed that the police did not cooperate with the investigation conducted by the commission. He said that no matter how the police acted before, he does not believe that the police did not cooperate at present.
