Judicial Service Commission of the Maldives has decided not to accept former Vice President Dr.Jameel as Justice Adam Mohammed’s lawyer in the disciplinary case against him.
In the hearing held today, Masthoor Husny the chair of the JSC’s committee formed to investigate Justice Adam, stated that Dr.Jameel cannot be Justice Adam’s lawyer in the case as Justice Adam is presiding over a case submitted by Dr.Jameel at the Supreme Court.
Masthoor gave Justice Adam a day to appoint a new lawyer and rescheduled the hearing to 12:30 pm tomorrow. The JSC previously investigated Justice Abdullah Didi and he was removed from the court. Dr.Jameel represented Justice Abdullah Didi as well.
