High Court of the Maldives has scheduled the appeal case of former President Yameen.
The hearing will begin tomorrow morning at 11:15 am.
Last November he was sentenced to 5 years in jail after the Criminal Court found him guilty of money laundering.
His lawyers appealed the case and also requested the High Court to free the former president on bail.
In addition to the jail term, the court also fined him with 5 million dollars. Thé opposition has refused to accept the verdict and stated that the charges against him are politically motivated.
