Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail has apologized for failing to declare the minimum wage by the end of February.
He tweeted today saying that the deadline has passed, and it was not declared. He said that the expectation was to do it by the end of February and that the matter has been sent to parliament and the parliament will give their view on the matter soon.
Setting a minimum wage is a campaign pledge of President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih.
