President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, currently on a four-day tour of Baa Atoll, made his ninth stop this morning with a visit to Hithaadhoo. He was warmly welcomed upon arrival.
As with other islands on the itinerary, the President is expected to meet with the Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions to discuss community needs and development initiatives. During the visit, he also inaugurated a new Bank of Maldives ATM.
The tour, running from August 11 to 14, will see President Muizzu visit a total of 13 islands. According to the President’s Office, the primary goal is to assess the well-being of residents and consult with councils on ongoing and planned development projects.
