Maldives Extends USD 50,000 in Aid and 25,000 Cases of Tuna to Sri Lanka

The Government of Maldives has announced a relief package for Sri Lanka, comprising USD 50,000 in financial assistance and a donation of 25,000 cases of tuna cans.

This support is being extended on behalf of the Maldivian people in response to the severe destruction caused by Cyclone Ditwah. The gesture underscores the Maldives’ solidarity with its close neighbour and the friendly people of Sri Lanka during this challenging time.

The Maldives hopes that this contribution will assist the Sri Lankan government’s ongoing relief efforts and further strengthen the deep and longstanding ties between the two nations.
