President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a congratulatory message to the President-elect of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella following his recent victory in the presidential elections.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“The Government and people of the Maldives join me in extending to you our sincere congratulations and best wishes on your election as the President of Italy.”
“I wish you fortitude in discharging the important duties of your position. While expressing the hope that the friendly relations between our two countries will be further strengthend in the years to come, allow me also to convey to you my good wishes for your health and well-being.”
