Nazim temporarily transferred to home
Former Defence Minister (retired) Colonel Mohamed Nazim has been temporarily transferred home.

Police media stated that Nazim was transferred home last night. However the Police did not reveal the reason for the sudden transfer from Dhoonidhoo detention center to home. When asked for the duration of stay, the Police refused to make any comments.

However some of the local media state that Nazim was transferred home for only 24 hours.

The Police did not comment regarding the health of the former Defence Minister. When asked whether he was transferred due to health reasons, the Police did not make any comments.

A hearing of his trial had been scheduled for 2:00 pm on Monday but was canceled a short while after it was announced. The Criminal Court had also refrained from explaining the reason behind the cancellation.

State is pressing charges against Nazim for importing and housing dangerous weapons and planning hostile activities against top state officials. A previous hearing of his trial revealed that Nazim had planned to assault the Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Adeeb, President Abdulla Yameen and Commissioner of Police, Hussain Waheed.

Criminal Court had previously ordered to detain the judge until the end of his trial.
