The new High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of India Ahmed Mohamed presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, today at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, RashtrapatiBhavan in New Delhi.
During the meeting held after the presentation ceremony, High Commissioner Ahmed Mohamed conveyed warm greetings and good wishes from President Yameen to President Pranab Mukherjee, and expressed deep appreciation for the continued support and assistance provided to the Maldives by India in various areas of cooperation.
High Commissioner Ahmed Mohamed also highlighted on the significance of commemorating the Golden Jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and India
High Commissioner Ahmed Mohamed also expressed his determination and deep desire to work closely with the Government of India to enhance and elevate the enduring relationship between the two countries.
