Sports Minister Mohamed Maleeh Jamal and Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has departed to Dubai last night to sign the agreement with Dubai World to develop Thilafushi.
The Economic Committee Co-Chair Ahmed Adheeb stated that this project is not only a port development project.
He said that a free trade zone and other means will also be established under this project. He said that a perfect port will be established through this project.
Adheeb said that this is a 250 million US dollars to 300 million US dollars project. He said that the project will be conducted in partnership with MPL.
He said that Dubai World will be providing the government with details regarding the project as soon as the agreement is signd.
