President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conferred plagues of appreciaition for the 8 children from the 34 Zakat-Fund sponsored candidates for Bone Marrow Transplant Operation.
A special function was held at the Islamic Center yesterday to present commemorative plaques to the candidates.
Previously, First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim met with 10 candidates and their families who have received financial assistance from Zakat Fund to undertake their bone marrow transplant operations. The First Lady met with the candidates at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, prior to their departures.
At the function, First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim was presented with a plaque of appreciation for her contribution and support by the National Social Protection Agency. Madam Fathimath Ibrahim also presented commemorative plaques to the candidates.
