Maldivian Police service will always receive assistance of Chinese govt –Ambassador
The Maldivian Police service will always receive the assistance of Chinese government and police، says the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Maldives.

He made the comment while meeting with the 20 participants of the 20 day training programme by the Chinese government at a ceremony that took place at Iskandhar building on the 4th of May.

He said that the Chinese government is working on assisting the Maldives Police Service and noted that the problem of lack of land vehicles within the service was solved within a relatively small amount of time.

He said that different training programmes will be held as accordance to the discussion during the Chinese President’s visit to the Maldives in 2014.

He also noted the strong friendship between the countries and their citizens.

The Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed noted the assistance being given to the Maldives Police Service by the Chinese Government and extended his gratitude towards the Chinese Government, the ambassador and the employees working at the Chinese Embassy.

The ceremony was attended by the Chinese Ambassador, employees working at the Chinese Embassy, Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Saudhee, Mohamed Saudhiq, Hassan Habeeb, the 20 officers participating in the programme, Assistant Commissioner of Police Hussein Adam and the head of Services Development Directorate.
