Deputy Leader of the Adhaalath Party, Dr. Mauroof Hussein has said that the Adhaalath Party will not let the people be in disappointment.
Dr. Mauroof made this remark speaking at last night’s rally held at Artificial Beach by “Maldivians against tyranny” movement.
He said that the Adhaalath Party is a party consisting of many religious scholars and therefore there are many people who support the party.
Dr. Mauroof said that it is Adhaalath Party which balances the politics of Maldives and the side that the party supports always wins. He said that it is reality that is witnessed by the people and which no one will deny.
“Therefore Adhaalath Party will not do anything to disappoint the people. Adhaalath Party will not let the people be in disappointment. We will work together with other parties in this endeavor of ours steadfastly,” he said.
He said that the government cannot keep leaders such as Sheikh Imran in jail. “We helped in electing President Yameen. We had very high hopes for him. However, he is doing what we did not expect from him,” he said.
Dr. Mauroof said that the Adhaalath Party President Sheikh Imran tried to rectify the problems within the government officially and non officially.
“However when Colonel Nazim got framed he knew it is time to broaden the works to reform the current government,” he said.
He said that he was forced to leave the government and join the opposition when the government refused to rectify their problems.
