Senior member of Adhaalath Party Shidhaathaa Shareef has stated that the political leaders of the country had sacrificed a lot for the nation.
Speaking in the rally held by the opposition last night, Shidhaathaa stated that the sacrifices made by leaders such as AP President Sheikh Imran Abdullah is apparent and as such, their efforts must be encouraged by the public.
Shidhaathaa stated that united efforts on a joint platform had forced the Government to listen to the opposition. She also stated that the results of the efforts were visible.
Shidhaathaa also stated that injustice would not yield any benefits to the nation. She said that in order to rectify the issues facing the nation citizens have to take action. She also said that if the Government was sincere in their efforts they would come to negotiations. Shidhaathaa said that the opposition was ready to come to negotiations.
She also called on the Government to free all political prisoners and detainees.
