The Women’s Commission of Maldives, in cooperation with the Olympic Solidarity, has organized an extensive 02 day Women’s Empowerment Seminar for the contingent taking part at the 9th Indian Ocean Island Games. The seminar was targeted for all the female athletes and officials, including the female Youth Camp Participants of IOIG.
This seminar offers athletes the opportunity to improve their communication skills through role-playing and group interaction with their teams. Overall, this seminar will also help athletes to develop and implement their own successful strategy, and enhance their confidence and effectiveness in dealing with the press.
The seminar was conducted by Mrs. MariyamWaheedha, free lance Developmanist. Overall the seminar was attended by a total of 45 athletes and officials from Football, Handball, Volleyball, Tennis and table tennis. Participiants of the seminar will be awarded with a certificate at the closing ceremony. The closing Ceremony is scheduled for the 03rd of July 2015 at Citron by lemongrass.
