Mininvan 50 ceremony to be held in special pavilion
President’s Office Minister and co-Chair of the Organizing Committee of the Minivan 50 activities Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu) has stated that the special events of the day are to be held in a special pavilion constructed for the day, in Usfasgandu area.

He made the statement in a press conference held in President’s Office last night.

He added that the official ceremony of the day will be held in the Usfasgandu pavilion, which will be followed by a feast held in Dharubaaruge. Mundhu said that Dharubaaruge was being prepared for such an event.

He also stated that around 150 to 200 foreign dignitaries will take part in the ceremony which include ambassadors and representatives from nations with diplomatic ties with Maldives. He added that around 1000 people will attend the ceremony, which includes dignitaries who had rendered services to the nation.

The event is the most unique event of the Minivan 50 celebrations, which will be run by the President’s Office, with the participation of artists, government owned companies and agencies. As such, Usfasgandu pavilion was being prepared by MRDC.

He thanked all who were involved in the preparations.
