Many have predicted that the oft spoken issue of the Vice President will most likely be resolved by Tuesday.
Parliament had passed on Monday that the Parliament debate on the Presidential appointee will be carried out for one hour. Fifty members had voted to pass the issue, with 21 members voting against the motion.
Parliament had also passed to vote on the Presidential nominee for the position on the same day as the Parliament receives the Committee’s evaluation on the nominee.
PPM Parliament Members have claimed that the best person for the position, once present Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed is impeached, is Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb. However, President Yameen is yet to make an announcement on the nomination for the position.
A solution for the Vice President issue?
